Your Comments About The Show Peter, Streatham: My favourite music radio was anything with the genius of Kenny Everett.Sally, an ex-Pat in Montreal: Johnnie Walker can do no wrong! Bert, Watford: You guys as you make me laugh. Ivan, Bromley: The Emperor, Eric any chance of introducing me? Steve, St Albans: Eurosiege on Laser was outstanding, never forget it. Guss, Wimbledon: Now hooked on LBC, before that the Great 208 Kevin, Croydon: The most scary radio was Caroline being raided, swine's!Babs, Essex: Naturally LBC is my best memory - then Radio North Sea. Dave, Guildford: Charlie Wolf and Laser - now LBC has me 24/7! Shaun, Twickenham: The Radio Caroline Top 500 countdown. Paulo, W. Drayton: Every time Caroline returned as it annoyed the government, deep joy. Lilley, Stratford: Steve Walsh was the best, now its Steve Allen! Dave Wheeler: Hello Eric, Sorry I meant to say this yesterday but got busy and forgot but just wanted to say what a good tribute you and LBC did on Wednesday morning to Radio Caroline A good one mate, the first commercial radio station playing tribute to the first free commercial radio station. Both were instrumental in starting the way we listen to radio today and both are still there, says it all really.Dermott, Tunbridge Wells: Just a quick shout out to the Wiltsher fella to say, great stint on LBC on Tues morning with your feature on all of the old pirates. I normally listen to your feature, but usually only half an hour, as I wake up during the night but get back to sleep pretty quickly, but last night you kept me awake for an hour going through some stuff which I knew already but quite a lot which I didn't. It also sounded like the general audience were really into it judging by the number of text msges and the comments in them. So thanks Eric for an entertaining feature. Sandra, Bromley: I’ve known about the ship stations but didn’t realise how badly they were treated. Thank goodness we have LBC today, the voice of the people. Martin, Barnett: What a great programme team. I normally listen to [censored] but came over to LBC as I knew Eric would do something special. You’re a really OK station. I’ll be back for more. Dawn, Holloway: Were there any talky stations on your ships Eric. Truly fascinating, not to mention scary. [There was one called 390 - Eric] Peter, Islington: I had to park up for a while, how on earth did those guys survive. YOU MADE ME LATE for a delivery! [Oops, sorry - Eric]. Some friends had spoken about the pirates before, not the morons of today, and I just thought they were the same as the idiots we have to suffer now. Not so, a truly pioneering bunch of people. Dan, SE: Honest I do listen to you Eric as I do learn things from you every week. Some goes over my head, but you normally drag it back to my level. Last night was just unreal. When you and Steve mentioned the idea I couldn’t think what it would be, well I thought it would be a boring history lesson from school days. It wasn’t – WOW! More please [Let’s not get O.T.T, Dan, I only get my anorak out for very special occasions, now where's the moth balls – Eric]. Alf, Docklands: I remember the Radio Caroline ship coming up the Thames a few years ago, but didn’t fully grasp the full history of the station. I don’t know if I should be in tears or angry – governments, pah! Shirley, Surrey: I don’t think you should celebrate such events. Pirates are pirates in whatever way you wish to paint them. No more. [You should have your view Shirley, which is why I included it here, but we’ll have to agree to disagree – don’t ask me about some of the so-called pirates of today or I’ll be along side you with high blood pressure]. Barry, Potters Bar: At one stage I thought you had a new script from War of The Worlds. Great work TTN! But don’t give up the technology please Eric, I’m catching up with my kids because of you. Silvia, Staines: I also remember Nigel and the Overdrive show. I’ve read through the memories and they very much echo my views. A wonderful tribute to them all. Well done Charlie, Mandy and Eric. Tony, Bayswater: OUTSANDING! Any chance of a part two with more of the history? [Sorry Anorak away Tony as I said earlier - Eric] And sorry to everyone else that e-mailed. Hopefully another correspondents echoed your sentiments, views and comments – thank you so much for all your e-mails. To those that have asked for more information as to why it isn’t available on-line; I’m sorry the MediaZoo site does not have a license to play music which is why I cannot re-run the show here.
